AI services · Crew for hire

Hire a crew, not headcount.

AI agents, built and run for your business — answering, following up, quoting, invoicing, asking for reviews. All the work that loses you money when it slips, handled for you. Supervised by us. Approved by you.

Why this works for small business

Friction costs you more jobs than any competitor.

The missed call at 7pm. The quote that took four days. The invoice nobody chased. The review nobody asked for. Your work is good; these are capacity problems. Until now the only fix was hiring, which a ten-person business can rarely afford and a two-person business never can.

AI changed that math. The follow-up, the intake, the paperwork, the transactional half of running a business — can now be done by software that costs less per month than one day of a part-time admin. And we're not resellers pointing you at someone else's product: the founder runs production AI in his own ventures: an agent that reads supplier invoices and files them into a third-party portal untouched, and an AI quoting tool answering real customers today (see the fleet). We bring the same systems to your shop, knowing the business from the inside because we built your website first.

The roster

Five hands. Hire the one bleeding you driest.

CREW 01

The Harbormaster

Intake & scheduling, around the clock

Answers the calls and texts you miss (nights, weekends, mid-job) in under a minute. Qualifies the lead, answers the basics in your voice, and books the appointment straight onto your calendar.

REPLACES: The job you lost because you were on a ladder when they called

CREW 02

The First Mate

Lead follow-up & outbound

Every quote gets chased, politely and on schedule. Every past customer hears from you when it matters: seasonal reminders, check-ins, win-backs. The follow-up always happens, even in your busiest season.

REPLACES: The 60% of quotes that die from silence, not price

CREW 03

The Quartermaster

Quoting & estimates

Job notes and photos in, a draft estimate out in minutes, in your pricing, your format, your exclusions. You review and send. Three evenings of quoting becomes fifteen minutes of approving. Already running in production for a national trade association's members.

REPLACES: Your Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights

CREW 04

The Purser

Invoicing & collections

Sends the invoice the day the job closes. Nudges at 15, 30, and 45 days: firm, friendly, and relentless in a way you'd find exhausting. Flags the accounts that need a human call.

REPLACES: The awkward money conversation you keep postponing

CREW 05

The Lookout

Reviews & reputation

Asks every happy customer for a review while the job is still fresh, drafts your responses to the five stars and the one star alike, and flags problems before they become patterns.

REPLACES: The 200 happy customers who never left a review

Each agent is commissioned for a one-time setup (typically $1,500, scoped to your tools) and runs from $400/month. Start with one. Add as they earn their keep. Cancel any of them, any month.

How an agent earns trust

Supervised first. Autonomous when proven.

WEEKS 1–2 · DRY DOCK

It drafts, you send

The agent produces everything (replies, quotes, reminders) and you approve each one. This is where it learns your voice, your pricing, your judgment calls. Nothing goes out without your thumb on it.

WEEKS 3–4 · SEA TRIALS

It sends, you watch

Routine actions go out automatically; anything unusual gets held for you. You see every action in a daily log. Most clients stop reading it by week four. That's a good sign.

ONGOING · UNDERWAY

It works, we review

Full speed, with guardrails that never come off: spending limits, escalation rules, a complete audit log, and a monthly review with us. You stay the captain. The crew stays the crew.

Straight answers

Asked by every owner. Answered honestly.

Is this a chatbot on my website?
No. A chatbot waits for visitors. The crew works your actual operations: it texts back the call you missed, drafts the quote from your job notes, sends the invoice reminder, requests the review. It plugs into the tools you already use: your phone line, your inbox, your calendar.
Who's responsible for what the AI sends?
We are, together. Every agent starts in supervised mode: you approve what goes out until you trust it. Then it earns autonomy one task at a time. Nothing leaves the dock under your name that you wouldn't have sent yourself. And there's a human behind all of it: us.
Do I need the website first?
Usually, yes, and not as a sales tactic. Building your site means we map every service, every city, every customer type you have. By launch day we know your business well enough to build agents that sound like you and price like you. The site is the survey; the crew is the cargo.
What does it cost?
Each crew member is commissioned for a one-time setup (typically $1,500, scoped to your tools) and runs from $400 a month. Month to month, like everything we do. Most clients start with one agent, whichever task is bleeding the most money, and add from there.
What if it makes a mistake?
It will, occasionally. So will a new hire. The difference is every action is logged, reviewable, and correctable, and the agent never has a bad week. We review the log with you monthly and tighten the lines.

One task is costing you the most. Tell us which.

A 30-minute conversation. We'll find the leak, scope the agent, and quote it flat: usually one setup fee and $400 a month.
