Case study · Remodeling contractor, Pierce County
How a South Sound remodeling contractor went from a single page Google ignored to a complete local search footprint: every service, every city, every county they work.
See it, don't just read it
Harbor Plumbing Co. is a complete demo build, home, services, a page for every city, reviews, the works, that you can click through right now. It's the exact architecture we ship to clients, dressed in a different trade's brand.
The situation
A licensed remodeling contractor with strong ratings and a healthy project history across Pierce, King, and Thurston counties, and a web presence that didn't reflect any of it. When homeowners searched "bathroom remodel" plus their own city, the contractor was nowhere. Every one of those searches went to a competitor.
The reputation existed. The architecture to surface it didn't.
The build
We built a complete static site, hand designed and generated from a structured system:
Service pages for kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home interiors, each one a real page
with real depth, not a paragraph on the homepage.
City pages for every community in the service area, three counties wide, each with unique
copy, so the contractor ranks in each city independently.
Structured data throughout: LocalBusiness, Service, Review, and Breadcrumb schema, so Google
reads the business correctly and shows rich results.
Verified reviews pulled forward from Google, Yelp, and Angi onto a dedicated page.
Speed as a feature: no builder, no bloat. Every page loads in under a second.
The fleet · Built and operated by the founder
Anyone can show you client work. Here's what we build when we're the client, production software and platforms we own, run, and answer for every day.
An AI agent that processes real financial documents end to end: vision AI (Mistral) reads the supplier invoice PDFs no system can parse, extracts the data, and uploads it into a third-party portal with no human in the middle. It's the kind of agent we commission for clients, already running in production on the same edge infrastructure that hosts every site we ship.
A national trade association for the decorated-apparel industry, built from zero, membership, benchmark data, and an AI-enabled quoting tool that takes a member's messy request and returns a clean quote in their preferred format, streamlining intake and killing the back-and-forth. The same capability we commission for clients as The Quartermaster, live at decoratorsassociation.org.
Naming, identity, and launch-ready digital presence for a new group purchasing organization, taken from a blank page to a brand that signs members, including a logo built stitch by stitch. Zero-to-one is a different skill than redesign. We do both.
A complete, clickable build for a fictional Gig Harbor plumber: home, a page for every service and every city, reviews, structured data, sub-second loads. The exact architecture we ship to clients, dressed in a different trade's brand. Click through the whole thing, then picture it as yours.
What this looks like for you
Every service you offer, crossed with every city you serve, is a search someone is typing this week. Plumber + Puyallup. Electrician + Lakewood. Each one deserves a page. Each page is a fishing line in the water.
People search for what they want before they know who sells it. Pages built around what you sell (by category, by occasion, by neighborhood) catch buyers your sign out front never will.
Reviews, credentials, and your real project history, marked up so Google can read it and display it. Reputation you've already earned, finally working for you in search results.
Every site is built from scratch for the business it belongs to. Nothing here started from a template, which is why a general contractor, a house plan library, a plumber and a design studio have almost nothing in common.
General contractor · Spanaway
A licensed contractor with a healthy project history across Pierce, King and Thurston counties, and a web presence that reflected none of it. Searches for a service plus a city went to competitors.
A complete static build: a real page for each service, a page for every community in the service area, LocalBusiness, Service, Review and Breadcrumb schema throughout, and verified reviews pulled forward onto their own page.
Each city ranks independently instead of competing with one homepage. The architecture is the product, not the decoration.

An established plan library with real search equity, on a platform that had become the constraint. Any rebuild risked the rankings that made it valuable.
A full static rebuild with every URL preserved, measured against the live site on eight separate axes before anything shipped.
Migrations lose rankings when nobody measures. We treat parity as a gate, not a hope.

The existing site had been infected and was being flagged, so customers searching for him were being warned away from his own business.
A rebuild from the ground up rather than a clean-up: his text and photographs carried across, every script written from scratch, no plugins and no third-party JavaScript.
Cleaning a compromised site leaves you trusting that you found everything. Rebuilding means there is nothing to have missed.

One owner, two businesses that are bought in completely different ways. A plan library is browsed and filtered until something fits. A design practice is chosen on judgement, and the site has to carry that.
A separate site with its own typography, colour, and layout, generated by the same architecture as every other build here.
Put the two homepages side by side and nothing carries across except the standard. That is the difference between building from a system and dressing a theme.
Visit the live siteI had been dealing with so many issues with third-party companies that promised everything but ultimately failed to deliver. They were difficult to communicate with, untrustworthy, and charging way too much money to essentially let my website sit there without actually getting anything accomplished. Dustin at Narrows Web was a completely different experience. He helped get my website back online and running properly, and the difference has been night and day.
Dustin has a remarkable talent for taking your vision & transforming it into the perfect site. From start to finish he was a pleasure to work with. Communication was clear and concise. All revisions and corrections were made in a timely manner & anything that couldn’t be done was promptly explained.
Was super easy to work with, and created a beautiful site. Looking forward to sharing it with my clients.
Narrows Web is hands down one of the best web development partners I have ever worked with. Their approach is highly strategic and thought out, and they executed my exact vision perfectly.
Really happy with Narrows Web Co. for SEO & getting found and a website redesign here in Puyallup. They nailed exactly what we pictured, clearly know what they are doing, got the site live quickly, got our site showing up in search, were easy to reach and always clear, and were upfront on pricing with no surprises.
I kept meeting people who were good at the work and invisible online. Someone would recommend them, the customer would look them up, find nothing, and call somebody else. They never even found out it happened. That is a fixable problem, and it should not cost an arm and a leg to fix.
